It was difficult and I had a ton of excuses for which David had a response for each and every one but basically saying there is no reason/excuse why I can’t stick to the meal plan.  I finally got it through my thick head that I could do it and I did, but I was able to do this because of David’s help.  He was the encouragement and tough love voice that helped me realize that I am strong enough to get my body where I want it.

I had fallen off the gym wagon and gained a ridiculous amount of weight.  I don’t even know how much.

I finally conceded that I needed to start writing down everything I was eating.  I was doing all this on my own and not seeing much weight loss at all.  All I was doing was maintaining.  Then I saw one of David’s flyers at Starbucks.  I made a mental note to email him.  I didn’t do it.  My weight still wasn’t changing on my own, despite my re-dedication to the gym.  Then I saw another flyer at Riverside Coffee House and knew I had to contact David because clearly I needed help with my diet.  I weighed 184lbs.  I felt disgusting and couldn’t look at myself.

I originally met David back in 2008 and he told me then that diet was about 80% of weight loss.  I wasn’t able to change my diet then, but for whatever reason in 2011 I was ready to change.

I contacted David and Nikki and started personal training with David in February 2011.  I started a specific meal plan geared toward weight loss for me on February 7th, 2011.  As of this month, October 2011, I have lost 48lbs.  I now weigh 136lbs.  It was difficult and I had a ton of excuses for which David had a response for each and every one but basically saying there is no reason/excuse why I can’t stick to the meal plan.  I finally got it through my thick head that I could do it and I did, but I was able to do this because of David’s help.  He was the encouragement and tough love voice that helped me realize that I am strong enough to get my body where I want it.  Nikki was a great sounding board as well and helped me with cooking ideas and making the food tasty.

As of this month (October 2011) I am still working on weight loss and toning but also towards gaining more muscle with the intention of competing in a physique competition in 2012.  That is something I never would have dreamed I could have done without David’s skills, guidance and help.  I have no hesitation in recommending David for personal training.  He is truly worth it.

UPDATED 10/4/14  – HUGE congrats to fellow Team Warrior Within member Christina Fahey, who won women’s bodybuilding at the OCB Battle for Tidewater in Virginia Beach today, thus making her eligible for IFPA pro status! Christina also took 3rd in women’s physique.
We’re going to hold off on accepting that pro card until we hit a few NPC shows in November, then decide which direction she wants to go. But either way, incredibly proud and happy for you, girl, Major improvements this year through the midsection and back, and it showed on stage!  (see pictures below)
